red words may want to be avoided if you dont want to read slang

I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR SCHOOL TO END. Well technically start in an hour and THEN END. Did I mention I'm a terrible student? I grin when I get a D. Yeah, not an A like all those smarty kids in class who skip a gazillion grades and are geeks.  Just for the record, 10 year olds should not be in 8th grade. They raise their hand to ask the teacher to tie their shoe! And the suprising part is, the teacher agrees! I have literally NO friends. They're all babies and I excel in one thing much more than all of them. Street smarts. I may not be book smart, but trust me, I would get an A in booksmarts compared to their pathetic F's in street smarts. School is just a total blur for me. Newsflash! I do have a friend! My locker. I'm always late for class because I'm fiddling with my mirrors trying to make myself look perfect. Not that there is anyone I want to impress, I just think girls should try to look their best when possible. Well there is this one other girl who is only 1 year older than me. I love her fashion sense! I want to be friends with her but she would ditch me if she knew me well. "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!" "Stop swearing Ryan!" I  feel totally stupid, like I am. That's the snooze alarm going off! I'm already dreading all of the fresh assignments. Hmm...maybe if I could just sneak to the kitchen and put a towel in the microwave without anyone knowing. Then I could put it on my back til it's really hot and quickly peel it off my back when someone comes in and "Young lady! Freshen up and get ready for school."said my mom. Ugh! Just like my mother to come barging into my room without permission and ruin my thought train! You know, maybe I just don't try hard in school because of her! I wouldn't tell her that though, she'd freak. I get out of bed, and go straight to my closet. I put on a white undershirt, slip on a neon crop-top, and slide on my favorite jean shorts. I accessorize with a pair of wedges, a necklace, and slip on a grey jean jacket. That's the one thing I like about my school, they only care about grades, not fashion choices. No clothing policies, whatsoever.I go to the kitchen which is downstairs. I take a bagel and run straight to the bus waiting outside my house. I look at my pendent which is a locket with a clock. 8:10! School starts in 10 minutes! Not that I care. I try to keep my cool, as I put on my attitude and "apologize" for being late while chewing a piece of gum. I walk to the back of the bus looking confident, making every little kid scurry out of their seats so I didn't have to push them out of the way. They know the routine and better not forget it! I don't want to be the bully, but I can't help it. It's just so fun! For me, at least. In five minutes I'm sprinting to my locker to get some books and check out the mirrors. Yeah, I wasn't kidding, I probably look conceded.

As I quietly walk around town I veer towards my friend Kelly's house. This morning I called Kelly and told her I wanted to tell here a secret about Beth, my older sister, but she said it would have to wait because her schedule was full of chores that need to be done now. Later when my mom drove me around to find my cat, Peach, I  saw Kelly playing with her other friend, Sally. I then planned to go over to her house later to make sure she wasn't lying about her "chores".
I now feel a slight wind coming towards me. I quickly pull my sweatshirt over my freezing head and start to relax when the paper in my hand saying my curfew blows away. Oh well, it wasn't that important. What used to be a breeze is turning into an inconvenient obstacle that is slowing my mission down. I’m almost there. As I walk towards the door of their house a feel a slight chill. What is going on with the weather!
I knock on their door (I find that doorbells are very annoying). No answer. I knock again, still no answer. I swear the light was on when I walked up their steps. Okay, I'm getting real desperate now, I ring the doorbell, and I hear a faint, but rough whisper. "Come in, Tara." As if it were magic, the door mysteriously opens.
When I walk in the room it is pitch black. I use my senses and my previous memories to guide myself to the couch. As I sit down I slam into the floor. To the right I feel the couch. I walked a little too far. As I'm starting to feel uncomfortable on the hardwood floor, Kelly sits next to me, but with her luck, she sits on the comfy couch. Okay, since when is she the lucky one?
I start to ask why she lied to me when she grabs my hand and leads me into to the cellar and turns on the emergency light-bulb. "Why are we in here?" I yell. "Didn't you feel that wind?" "Yeah, so?" As I say that I come to a conclusion. "A tornado? " "Mm...Hmm." "A tornado? " I repeat. "So that's why we're here?" "Yep." "Look I'm really sorry." "Quiet!" Man she is not in a good mood today.

By the time I finish off the last bit of steak, the limo rolls to a stop and the gnarled voice floats through the window once again. "We are here, Miss Petronella."
"Great, time for me to die."
    "Quite precisely Miss Petronella"
Before I could react, I see a shadowy figure wrap its arms around me, making it almost impossible to breathe. "You're coming with me Miss Petronella." the raspy voice hisses. I can feel tears trickling down my cheeks before I completely black out.
Ch. 3 Welcome to the Games
I wake up on a cold slab of stone with my head throbbing violently. "What...what happened?"
"Welcome to the Golden Saber Bowl Miss Petronella." the raspy voice says again.
My eyes grow big, and I start hyperventilating. "This can't be happening..."
"Ah, but it is Miss Petro-"
"Stop calling me that! My name's Nelly."
"Miss Petronella, this relationship must be kept formal."
"What relationship? I don't even know your name"
"Allow me to introduce my self," the shadowy figure comes out,"I am Acer. I will be the host of the games." With a snap of his bony fingers, he becomes a young man with sleek black hair, and mysterious blue eyes. He looks like he's in his twenties. He bows, and kisses my hand. "I wish you the greatest of luck." With another snap of his fingers, he vanishes, and a new dress adorns me. It's the color of an amethyst, and it makes me look even more beautiful than sweet, radiant, Bianca.
"I'm going to win this thing for you Bee. I'm going to. I have to. For you."I raise my chin, replenish the fiery flicker in my eyes, and start walking towards the gate. I take a deep breath, and open it, but immediately, I am blinded by an illuminated light. Just as I try to shake off the shock, I hear a silky voice loud and clear. "Welcome, to the Golden Saber Bowl!"

Ch.2

Katherine just walked into the door paying no attention to any thing around her. The building was a dark and dreary place. No one was there but a man at the counter with mysterious eyes, hair as dark as midnight and had an awkward look on his face.
"Where is my father,"
"Excuse me?" said the a man at the counter in a unusual way.
"Tell me where my father is!" she was now starting to yell.
"What is his name?"
"David Henry Green,"
"Do you have a picture of him?" Katherine slowly pulled out a picture of him. It was him holding her when she was 5 years old on Easter. The strange man copied the photo and pined it on a bulletin board.
The man wrote down his name on a list that looked completely fake.
"Okay that's it we will tell you if we see him,"
" Wait, that's it THAT'S ALL YOUR GOING TO DO!!"
She was yelling at the man for a good half hour until a tall man in a gray suit came out.
"What is all the ruckus!!" he yelled. He and the other man were talking while Katherine looked around.
The man had her sit down and he got on one knee and said "So, your father is missing, huh?". He was I bit more cheerful then the dull man at the counter.
"Yes" she answered quietly, her voice was soft from all the yelling that she did.
"Come with me, I'll show you a room that will help you find hopefully him," So Katherine followed him into a room filled with computers, searching for people missing. Katherine went on one of the computer and typed in her father"s name and there it was, her father.

 Intro
This is about a 14 year old girl named Katherine Green. If you asked anyone at her school about her, they would all say the amazing adventure she took. But everyone has something different. Here is the real story.:
Ch 1
This wasn't a normal day at all. Katherine came home from school and she knew from the second she walked through the door something was wrong. There was no "Hello". Her sister, mother, and uncle were all sitting at the dining table with their heads down. Her aunt was on the phone. "Is Aunt Emma crying?" thought Katherine.  "Mom I think you should tell her." whispered Elle. Katherine's mom took  her into the living room and told her, " Sweetie, I know this is going to be hard for you but..."
"But what Mom?"
" Daddy is well...... gone"
"No.. No................... NO!!"
Katherine was just shocked, angry, and denied everything her mom was saying. She ran into her room grabbed clothes and water, put it into a backpack, and headed out the door.
" Katherine Green, where are you going?!"
" I'm going to find daddy." She then just ran, and ran, and ran for miles till she came to a building with a sigh saying, "Report Anyone Missing".

Ch. 2 Golden Sacrifices
I walk outside my house and look back, unsure if I will ever see it again. I already waved good bye to Mom and Dad, but I haven't said anything to Tessa. I don't think I could've done it without bursting into tears. Instead, I just looked into her room, waved, and walked out of the house. The invitation said to go to the nearest bus stop to get picked up. I wonder why they want us to transport us to the Golden Saber Bowl on a bus, but I sit on the curb anyway. Almost instantly, a long limousine pulls up against the curb, half an inch away from my foot. "Petronella Trumani. Your ride is here." I hear a raspy voice waft through the window. I wince at my full name. I always hated the sound of my name. Petronella. It sounds like some sort of robot. Petronella number 202. Ugh! I hate my name!
I lean into the car, and sit on the velvet seat. The sickly strong scent of hazelnut and vanilla overwhelms me as I lace my fingers in my lap, and give a very nervous smile. The raspy voice drifts into my ears once more, "Are you hungry Miss Petronella?" Before I can answer, a tray pops out of the floor with cream of chicken soup and carrots placed on top. I had to give whoever cooked this some points on presentation. The smell of the broth made the scent of hazelnut and vanilla disappear slightly. I pick up the metal spoon with lacy engravings on it, and take a small sip of soup. The richness of the cream, and the tender, juicy chicken bites made me want to lick the bowl. Forget presentation, I'm going for the taste. "Would you like seconds Miss Petronella?" the voice calls again. I didn't even have to say anything before another bowl of soup is at my pale hands. I gulp it down in four large spoonfuls. I lie back and pat my stomach. Despite the large portions and the density of the dish, I am still very hungry. It was only then when realized I haven't eaten in one day.
I almost dozed off when another tray popped out of the ground with a tiny steak and a mountain of vegetables stacked on top of it. As soon as I see the juice from the meat leak out, I hungrily snatch the knife and fork and dig in.

Once there was a beautiful sister, and a ugly sister. The beautiful one was kind... as usual :)... And the ugly sister was as mean as a with... (AS USUAL).... Well one day while they were farming.. A charming prince came along... He was amazed by the beautiful sister's beauty and loved her at sight. The prince asked the beautiful sister to marry him and she said yes...The ugly sister was very jealous.. Before the day of their wedding, the ugly sister got soooo jealous that she cut of her sister's head.  Yes its horrible. But the beautiful sister's head was so beautiful that she preserved it in a jar. Few days later when the prince and the ugly sister were eating dinner, the prince left to go to bed, but the ugly sister still ate. *CREEEEEK* went a sound... The ugly sister looked around. she saw nothing unusual other than her sister's head. It seemed like it had turned a bit. She got freaked out so she went to bed.
The next day at dinner, the prince again went to bed early again and the ugly sister remained eating.. This time she heard a *SQUISH*.... Nothing unusual but the sister's head. And again it seemed as if the head had turned slightly again.
This repeated for 10 days untill one day the head was staring at the ugly sister. Again the prince went to bed. There was silence to day. She thought it was odd and she looked back at the head. The eyes were now open, and her mouth was opening... she said .. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!  The ugly sister died of fright...      THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!
( when you tell the story... when you say boo, jump at them... My sister frightened me sooo much that i couldn't go to sleep.. BTW THIS IS MY VERSION OF THE STORY. Her version was that the head rolled out of the bed where she kept the head.) GOOD LUCK TELLIN THE STORY

Ch. 1 Invitation for an Old Friend
Bianca's timid little hands touch mine, ever so gently. "Take good care of Raina. We have always butted heads, but, I still loved her."
My cheeks lost their color. Why was she saying this? She wasn't going to die. She was going to live a full and long life just like any other sixteen year old. Lymphoma can't bring her down. Nothing can. Now, she's bringing her sister into it. All of this is making my head spin and burn. Through all of the confusion, I blurted out, "Stop it! Your not going to die! I won't let you!" Bianca's eyes softened, the pain withdrawing from her glance. She even managed the smallest of smiles. "I think we both know what's coming next Nelly. When I leave though, I want you to have this. Something that will always remind you of me."  She handed me a sapphire necklace, the blue jewel glinting in the faint sunlight illuminating through the closed blinds.  Her lips pursed together, "Nelly, I have to tell you something." I nodded, unsure of what to expect. She sighed,"When I was littler, I got a letter saying that I had to participate in this thing called 'Golden Saber Bowl' or they would kill my family. I didn't really believe them until I found my cat dead with a note taped to him saying 'Your first warning Bianca'. The problem was, there was no return address to the letter, so I didn't know what to do. I became so stressed out, I yelled to the sky 'I give up OK? I will participate in the Golden Saber Bowl!' Oddly, they actually heard me. They sent me another note saying where it was, the rules, what happens if you die...." Her voice trailed off. My temples started pounding.
    "Bianca, I have to go?"
"Nelly... if I was in any better shape you know I would do it."
    "How do I do it?"
"Just answer the questions correctly, don't try to please him, just be honest. That's how you win the game. You are playing against other people who have been chosen for this.Just don't trust the guy who is giving you the questions. You cannot tell anybody, and you'll be gone for a week-"
"A whole week? What will I tell my parents?"
"Tell them beforehand you have a camp that lasts for a week."
    "And if they say no?"
"Then beg, and get them to do it."
"Bianca I don't know about this"
"Look Nelly, I don't have much time. Wear this necklace during the game, and you'll be...fine..."
I could tell I overworked her. She became as white as a ghost, and the pain was fierce in her eyes. So many questions bubbled through my mind. Why would they need a week to have people answer questions? Bianca looked up at me,"Nelly, you'll be fighting for your life. If you answer wrong, he'll kill you on the spot. At the end, your on your own to survive against him. If you can last six days without getting killed, your reward is your life. Be smart. And the word 'allies' will be helpful." I tried to process all of this without screaming at Bianca for not telling me this before. Instead, I had her lay back into her bed, and wait until the dreaded moment arrived. The silence between us made me tear up. She held my hand tightly, her ebony knuckles tightening with every second. Finally, after two minutes of praying for her life, her grip loosened, and her eyes closed calmly. She looked like a little angel sleeping. Yet, the image sickened me. Bianca's dead. And I might have to die too.

The yucca flowers greeted me with their open bloom. The hot Albuquerque sun makes a bead of sweat trail down my neck as I try to plant new sunflowers. I swallow hard as I try  not to look down. Down there, all there is, is ground. Nothing to save me if I fall. Just hard ground. My breath catches in my throat when I start to think about Ore and how he risked his own life to save mine.  Back then, I had hundreds of people to catch me if I fell. Now, I have no one.
I could still vividly remember when I did have all the people in the world to catch me. It was so long ago though when they all started to die. My brother, Ore, was the last one.
When I was six, I went swimming one day and accidentally dove into the one foot area and my spinal chord broke, making it impossible for me to move my legs.  Now, I am twenty nine and have been slowly regaining control over my feet since I was sixteen. I still fall as much as a baby does. Due to my inability to walk efficiently, a person was always by my side to catch me if I fell. I grew so attached to all these people, it almost killed me when each one died. I started to rely on them to be there for me. When I turned eighteen though, all of them started to sick, or injured seriously. My parents, my grandparents, even my close friends. All of them passed in my weak arms.

i sorta failed at this story. I made up as i went so 2BC L8TR!!!!!!! (to be continued or changed later)
